Lisa Christensen has been in public administration for over 15 years. Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University, her paralegal certificate from the University of California, San Diego, and her master’s degree in public administration from Southern New Hampshire University. She has previous experience at the U.S District Court for the Southern District of California as an Executive Assistant and as a Human Resources Specialist. In addition, she served as the district court’s Community Outreach Coordinator, coordinating visits to the courthouse by students from throughout the judicial district, where students were introduced to the courtroom while observing proceedings and participated in civil discourse programs with federal judges. Lisa organized and coordinated the annual Southern District of California Essay and Video Civics Contest held among the district’s high school students and organized the court’s biannual Open Doors to Court program, as well as many other events held at the courthouse. Lisa is very interested in helping citizens become engaged with their government, especially youth.
