Eric Hensen

Eric was born and raised in Southeast San Diego. Prior to his role as a Policy Advisor for County District Four, he was a Policy Advisor under San Diego City Council District Four as well. He also has previous experience as a Zoning Investigator at the City of San Diego’s Development Services Department, internships at the federally managed San Diego Housing Commission’s Workforce and Economic Development Department, the City of San Diego’s Human Resources Work Readiness Team, the City of San Diego’s Planning Department, and the San Diego Unified Port District’s Development Services Department. He received his Master’s in City Planning from San Diego State University, with undergrad degrees from University of California San Diego in Urban Studies, and Political Science at San Diego City College. Eric’s policy areas include land use, environmental review, housing, and transportation.
